The implementation of the project "Development of experimental quantum communication infrastructure in Latvia" (Project number: 101091559, Project acronym: LATQN, Call: DIGITAL-2021-QCI-01) continues.
From 01.07.2023 to 30.09.2023, the following activities have been carried out:
- 3rd news article is publishes on the project’s website;
- Work continues on definition of the functional requirements and development of software architecture, which is necesarry for the start of QKD backbone testbed implementation phase. The works are expected to be completed in October;
- Work continues on development of the report about requirements and defined test scenarios for health sector. It is expected to be completed in October;
- Some of the partners have concluded procurement procedures for the supply of quantum technology equipment. The process is expected to be fully completed for the whole Consortium in the last quarter of this year;
- A draft of potential amendments to the Grant agreement has been prepared and submitted to EC, which corresponds to the actual project implementation, personnel and budget status.

Total eligible project cosst: EUR 8 061 380.00. The planned max grant from the European Commission is EUR 4 030 690.00 or 50% of the total eligible costs of the project. The term of implementation of the Project is 30 months from 01.01.2023 to 30.06.2025.
